In assessing our students’ writing, we often struggle with how to mark, what to mark, and even when to stop marking. We need to understand and act on the truth that we are assessing an art built on truth, skill, and creativity. Writing assessment offers us a wonderful, unique, and sometimes complicated opportunity to honor each one of our students.
