Educators need courage to walk the ascetical journey required to cultivate virtue in ourselves and our students. We must resist the temptation to curate a life without the fall for our students and instead equip them to live bravely in this broken world in which they will (100 percent guaranteed) suffer and die, both in a metaphorical and in a physical sense. Courageous educators embrace the opportunity to orient our teaching to their salvation, and in this talk Heidi White offers practices to cultivate courage in our own hearts to fortify us for the task. Drawing from a wellspring of Biblical teaching and classical thought, Heidi offers vision and practices for teaching classically and faithfully with fortitude and resolve.
