The end of the school year is close upon us, freeing many of us up for a bit of rest and relaxation. Our students have more time outside of the classroom, teachers have more time outside of the classroom, and homeschooling parents have more time outside of the classroom. What is the best way to make use of one’s free time, whether it be a weekend or break in the middle of the school year or the summer break between school years? Is this the time to rest? Is this the time for leisure?

Some have argued that rest is what God gave us to help us recover from the workweek and prepare for the week of work ahead. Others have noted that the day of rest God gave us was a day to worship Him rather than recover from work or prepare for more work. Proponents of “leisure” over “rest” argue that we work in order to have leisure, and that leisure is itself a way to cultivate oneself and to worship God.

In this year’s annual conference, these are the ideas and questions we will be considering. Do we rest or do we leisure? What is the purpose of one or the other? What is the best and right and proper way to engage in leisure? How can we engage in leisure ourselves, and how can we encourage our children to use this free time for leisure rather than entertainment and distraction?

Join us for FREE as we consider these ideas and more at our annual online conference.

Registrants will receive session recordings at NO additional cost.
