Kings, going to meetwith other kings, first sit down and deliberate.
This is such a great proverb because it is the role of kings to deliberate and we all have the function of the king in our souls. When we don’t “sit down and deliberate” we simply rule badly: ourselves and anything else we should be governing. Thank you!
My knee-jerk response is to agree because so many forms of communication have broken down but I’m not sure I know what makes deliberation different from discussion, persuasion, or an ideological defense, otherwise known as an argument.
