As the culture around us degrades, the work of educational renewal becomes harder. Like the wise carpenter who uses a jig to guide his work, how can families and educators create strong frameworks that make our efforts more effective and sustainable? Drawing from the ancient symbolism of Genesis and the practical insights of philosopher and motorcycle mechanic Matthew B. Crawford, this talk will explain how postmodern culture forms us in dissipation and how we can use sacred temple structures to better “jig” our communities toward virtue.
