Byzantine writings of the Church Fathers expound and defend the Gospel in dialogue with the long literary tradition that preceded them. The extent to which the Byzantines wove the music, poetry, and philosophy of the pre-Christians into their writings can be fully experienced by those literate in Greek. Incorporating an interactive lesson, this session will explore how and why to teach ancient Greek for fluency. Full of practical ways to incorporate Greek into our homes and classrooms, this session is for everyone regardless of prior language experience.
