Using Prudence as a guide, we will explore the details of music and how they fulfill the components of prudence: memoria, docilitas, intelligentia, sollertia, ratio, providentia, circumspectio, and cautio. Music and harmony are an all-encompassing tenet that binds other virtues together. Beyond pleasure and preferences, Harmonia describes a beautiful overarching controlling principle of life, education, and the foundation for our relationship with God. And that all starts with a simple melody.
