So you’re going to college.
There are many things to think about when choosing then attending a college. One question that needs to be asked, though, is how you, the student, are going to protect and keep your personal commitments, particularly your commitment to your faith.
This summer, during the week of September 9th, students and parents of students are invited to attend the CiRCE Institute Virtual College Fair each afternoon from 4pm to 5:30pm Eastern Time.
For each day’s call, Dr. Matthew Bianco will give a brief presentation helping to answer one of the biggest difficulties a high school student will face: how to keep your faith in college. The overall presentation will be broken up into parts for each day’s call, so be sure to attend all of them!
Following Dr. Bianco’s presentation, a representative from a particular college will give a brief presentation on what that school offers. Each day’s call will feature a different college. So be sure to attend all of the calls to hear from more of the colleges! Dr. Bianco’s talks will include:
Monday – Keeping the Faith: Your Habits with Dr. Matthew Bianco & a presentation from Dr. Jennifer Frey of University of Tulsa Honors College
Tuesday – Keeping the Faith: Your Community with Dr. Matthew Bianco & a presentation from Dr. Eliot Grasso of Gutenberg College
Wednesday – Keeping the Faith: How to Learn from the “Bad Guys” with Dr. Matthew Bianco & Dr. Thomas Varacalli of Belmont Abbey College
Thursday – Keeping the Faith: The Necessity of Dogma with Dr. Matthew Bianco & Lee Wishing of Grove City College
Friday – Keeping the Faith: The Nobility of Norms with Dr. Matthew Bianco & Greg Wilbur of New College Franklin
Following the college’s presentation, the call will be open to a question and answer period, allowing prospective students and their parents to ask questions of both Dr. Bianco and the college representative. We hope this will make the decision-making process a little bit easier for you, though these colleges are so great you may find it more difficult to choose!
