Christianity Today has got a great post out about Lenten reading. Rather than recommend the usual non-fiction devotional type books, this one focuses on literature and poetry that nourish the soul. I love that. They’ve got some classics and some newer titles. Check it out here.
When I think about what books nourish my soul, I’d have to add Jayber Crow to that list. And not just because it’s the book we’ve been discussing on Close Reads and this is my attempt at shameless self-promotion. But because that book reorders my soul and fills me with longing for all the right things. Every. Single. Time.
What titles would you add?
