Introducing Victoria’s World!

Life and Death in the Reign of Queen Victoria

The CiRCE Institute is proud to announce the launch of a new podcast collaboration with Noah Tetzner, host of the popular podcast, The History of Vikings (and a former homeschooled student). Victoria’s World is a fifteen-episode series that will explore life and death during one of the most important periods in world history. Through interviews with scholars, biographers, and artists, the show will consider everyday life during Queen Victoria’s reign, the battles that shaped the kingdom, the artists who gave voice to the people, and much more.

Mr. Teztner is the host of a popular historical podcast called The History of Vikings which features scholarly discussions about Vikings, Norse myth, and all things Northmen. After hosting the show for two years, it has amassed a listenership of well over 50,000 monthly downloads and regularly features professors from Oxford, Yale, and Cambridge University. Noah is also the host of Stories of the Second World War and Lessons from a Homeschooler.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Noah for this show,” said David Kern, director of the CiRCE Podcast Network. “He’s a rising star in the world of history podcasts, and we think his experience being homeschooled will make this show something that our core audience will love. It’s informative, thoughtful, and entertaining. And we’re excited to be able to participate in bringing it to the world.”

Said Tetzner, “As a student of classical education it is an honor to host my podcast with the CiRCE Institute. I love this organization and the great things they stand for. It has been a privilege to work with the people I’ve admired in creating Victoria’s World. This is the best podcast I’ve ever created.”

The first two episodes of Victoria’s World are available now and cover everyday life in Queen Victoria’s reign (with guest Sarah Chrisman) and the music of the era (with guest Dr. Carol Reynolds). The rest of the series will air weekly beginning January 9, 2020.
