The CiRCE Institute cordially invites you to a 4th of July Extravaganza Old-time Family Picnic! Join us for music, good food, old-timey kids games, kid-friendly fireworks, an old time softball game, a bonfire, and much more.
When: July 4th, 2015 @ 3:30 pm
Where: Hardin Farm, 4501 Gold Hill Road, Concord NC, 28025
There is no set cost. Pay what you can, if you can. No pressure. Just come and have a good time if you can’t afford to pay.
The highlight of the day will be a special fundraising softball game. We – the people of the CiRCE Institute – are challenging 10-12 people to pay $10 a piece to take on our CiRCE staff in a 7-inning game which will take place in one of the farm’s fields. We’ll have concessions and a makeshift old school score board.. The question is, are you man (or woman) enough to take on the pitching prowess of Andrew Kern or the slick fielding of Brian Phillips or the speed of . . . well, nevermind. We don’t think so.
To claim a spot on the bad guys’ team just say you want to play on the RSVP form. Only 12 spots are available. For players aged 12 and up, please.
The event will begin at 3:30 pm and will last until everyone leaves. There is no set end time nor is there a set cost for food. We just ask that you contribute what you can (or want to) on the day of the event.
