So school is started again. The kids are back inside, perched on kitchen chairs or slouched in desks or wrapped in the comfort of their own elbows. They’re sweating at the prospect of tests, complaining about homework, and dreading the long weary afternoons when the two hours before dismissal seems like an eternity. But not all of our educational endeavors take place within the walled confines of classrooms and kitchens. Many of you spend time outside, whether simple for recess or for something as industrious as a garden. But we’re curious how many of you do actively engage with the outdoors when teaching.
To that end, this week’s question of the week is:
IN WHAT WAYS DO THE OUTDOORS PLAY A ROLE IN YOUR TEACHING?
