The CiRCE Online Conference Begins This Friday!

Question of the Week: Children and Politics

So we’re in the middle of week two of the 2012 party conventions. We’ve heard our fair share of grandiose, hypocritical rhetoric from both sides, as well as a reasonably healthy dose of quality speechmaking. Of course, these are conventions so there’s a lot of yelling and arguing and posturing and maybe even some lying. And in our 24/7, twitter-nourished news cycle it’s sometimes hard to determine what is true and what’s not. Especially for our kids and students.

So, with that in mind, our question for this week is:

HOW DO YOU, AS PARENTS AND TEACHERS, APPROACH THE MODERN AMERICAN POLITICAL LANDSCAPE WITH YOUR CHILDREN , AT HOME AND IN THE CLASSROOM? DO YOU IGNORE IT? DO YOU DISCUSS IT? IF SO, HOW AND WHY?
