Cornerstone Schools of Washington, D.C. is seeking highly motivated, dedicated Christian men and women who have a desire to teach inner-city students. Our school is located in Anacostia, a low-income area of Southeast Washington, D.C., and currently serves grades Pre-K3 through 10; next year, we will be adding grades 11 and 12. Because we are a private school, applicants do not need a degree in education or a teaching certification. Rather, we are seeking servant leaders, with strong academic records, who want to serve inner-city students and their families in a Christian school setting.
All applicants must have graduated by the beginning of the school year in August 2013. Additionally, applicants must exemplify a strong faith in Jesus Christ and be willing to sign a statement that affirms belief in the Biblical principles upon which Cornerstone was founded. Working in an inner-city environment can be challenging—but it is also immensely rewarding. Applicants must be committed to sharing the Cornerstone vision of bringing hope and academic excellence to this corner of our nation’s capital.
If you are interested, please send a resume and cover letter to cornerstonedev@cornerstone-schools.org. Cover letters may be addressed to Mr. Clay Hanna, Executive Director.
