Hope Academy (MN) Seeks Middle School Latin Teacher

The Hope Academy, which offers a remarkable, God-centered education for the youth of the city of Minneapolis, MN., is seeking candidates for the following position:

  • Full-Time Latin/Humane Letters Teacher (6th – 8th grade) (Accepting applications through April 27th)
    o Position is for 2012-2013 school year
    o Teacher will teach 6-8th grade Latin, as well as 7th/8th grade Humane Letters, which is a cycle of Ancient and Medieval History
  • General Faculty Qualifications
    o Supportive of the school’s mission to foster hope in God within the inner-city neighborhoods of Minneapolis by providing youth with an outstanding, Christ-centered education.
    o Ability to effectively educate in a multi-racial, multi-ethnic, and economically disadvantaged urban community.
    o Desire to equip the children of the city with an academically rigorous, comprehensive, classical Christian education to prepare them to deal with the complex issues of living in this present society.
    o Willingness to go above and beyond in building relationships with students.
    o Minimum BS or BA in Education preferred.
