The Teacher’s Responsibility

What a great responsibility is given to teachers! It is a humbling thought to realize how often one forgets (loses sight of) what the true purpose of education is, especially as you survey the smorgasbord of topics that are addressed in one school day much less over the course of a year. It is much easier to control what the child must master (a list of standards of learning) than to allow truth to blossom through inquiry. No wonder the Pharisees chose the law over grace.
