The Call of Duty

A screed:

Every form of indolence is now explained either by environment or by genetics. There is no will. Therefore, our duty is to supply the money for the indolent to play video games so they never have to become existentially aware of the sacrifices made and being made by the tax-payers and soldiers and factory workers so they can spend endless hours playing Call of Duty or Medal of Honor.

Whole political campaigns are built on the right of the 30 year old so to amuse himself.

Never has it been easier to game the system to one’s own destruction. Why do artists fall for it?

Ideals. Impenetrable, sentimental ideals, that dishonor the man who is allowed to rot before the video consul.
