What then is coloring outside the bubble? The bubble is this world with all of its ways and patterns to which St. Paul’s epistle commands us not to conform. We are instead encouraged as Christians to be transformed by the renewing of our minds and souls.

My friend Aaron Friar presented a commencement address at St. Herman of Alaska called Coloring Outside the Bubble: An Educational Manifesto.
In it, he explains how important for us NOT to keep the pencil inside the bubble and tells the extraordinary story of Melissa Busekros, who ran away to home after the authorities in Germany had legally kidnapped her for being home schooled.
