Update on arrests in Germany for Home Education

Do you remember the German families that have been arrested for home schooling? Here’s an update from World Net Daily.

At the bottom you’ll see a list of previous articles many of which are worth reading to get the rest of the story. The picture on this blog is of the Wolfgangsee, nestled in the Austrian Alps, as the tourist brochures like to say. This is the town where one of the families fled when the police threatened to take their children away from them.

In Germany, the state works to inhibit the development of what it calls “parallel societies.” This is a powerful and serious idea that we need to watch carefully. What does it mean? Are other countries adopting it too? Why does the state believe it is capable of determining what is fitting and what is not when it comes to matters of religious conviction? What is your take on these matters? You might want to visit HSLDA and look into whether you want to support these families.
