The CiRCE Online Conference Begins This Friday!
Weight of Glory or Abolition of Man?

by

Andrew Kern

$3.00

Presented at the A Contemplation of Glory Conference 2021.

Between 1941 and 1943, CS Lewis delivered a series of presentations in which he proposed two possible ends for humanity. In one, he argued that “nearly all men in all nations are at present laboring to produce” what he called “the world of post-humanity.” In the other, he insisted that God intends to satisfy the deep human desire “for a far off country” where he will carry a weight of glory. In this talk, Kern explores how modern man is using education to abolish man while the Christian classical renewal must—and can—help its participants attain to the glory of the far off country.
