Presented at the CiRCE National Conference 2022.

The Scholastics designed the Medieval Cathedral to express the entire cosmos. It’s structure, stained glass windows, statues, even stones on the floor spoke of the unified cosmos and taught one to imitate it, becoming whole themselves—or, as the Medieval’s would say: becoming a balanced microcosm of the macrocosm. In this talk, Katerina will guide you through a Medieval Cathedral and consider what it was designed to teach the Medieval Christian and what it still teaches us today.
