In the middle of 2020 with its imposed quarantine, distance from other people, and distractions of zoom, social media, and school through the internet; re-reading Georges Bernanos’ 1936 novel The Diary of a Country Priest reminded me how to pray without ceasing, witness grace everywhere, and behold the glory of the Lord amidst the craziness of my twenty-first century life.
