Students in this course will experience a gentle introduction to the Lost Tools of Writing while enjoying some of the most beloved children’s literature. Our literature studies will teach us to read closely and to contemplate the truths the authors are speaking. As we work through the first five essays of Lost Tools Level 1, we will learn to carefully think about the decisions others have made and to clearly communicate the truth we see. In addition to all of this, we will learn the important skills necessary to succeed in our studies: completing and turning in assignments, participating in a class discussion, and communicating with a teacher.
