This 8-week summer course begins in June.

In this fast-paced intensive meeting twice a week, students will review all Level One content. Interactive class time will be spent discussing the canons and tools and working through lots of examples, while out-of-class homework assignments will provide opportunities for application and practice through the complete invention, arrangement, and elocution of seven essays.

Students should be prepared to spend significant time between each class both reading fairy tales (provided by instructor) and completing written assignments. All timely submissions will be evaluated by instructor for students to revise before the next class period. While classes will be recorded in case of occasional unavoidable absences, students who are able to participate in all the live classes, in addition to completing all the reading and written assignments and revisions on time, will benefit the most from this class.

Please note: This class is intended as a review for students who have already taken one or more Level One classes. Students new to Lost Tools of Writing are invited to enroll in one of CiRCE’s many yearlong Level One offerings starting in August.

Meets Tuesdays and Thursdays, June 4 – August 1 (16 meetings over 8 weeks; no class June 27 and July 4)
