Teachers are cultivators. What do we cultivate? We cultivate the image of God in each student, not by singing songs, reading the Bible, and reclining on clouds. Rather, we remind them of what story we are all living in, we contemplate with them the questions that render life meaningful, and we celebrate with them each perception of the logos. Let’s revisit the ideal type as a flame that illuminates our students’ lives.
