What if beauty is more than just a personal preference? What if there really were an invisible realm that makes itself known through the material world? Would the (even unconsious) recognition of the relation between the visible and the invisible spark the response that we describe as “beauty?” What role then, would form play in the communication of the invisible? John Hodges will give examples from visual art, music, and literature that speak of the place of form in the apprehension of the divine.
