Who or what is x? No, this is not a Math course!

Our words will have us acquitted or condemned. Therefore it is our responsibility to choose them with care. In this one-semester course, we will use a new resource to take a deep dive into the common topic of Definition. Our purpose is to see how we can better find and understand the essence of a thing.

Students will review how to generate a definitions from LTW Level One, then use that form to gain a better understanding of something’s essence and nature. Using the three canons of written Rhetoric each time, students will write four essays using the topic of definition. Within the essay, students will explore four elocution tools to help highlight and practice their definition skills.

Note: The required texts are still in production and will be available for purchase later this year.
