Jonathan Councell is a graduate of the CiRCE Master Teacher Apprenticeship Program, has served as a CiRCE consultant and Head Mentor, and has taught in classical schools since 2012. He has served as a Dean in several schools, taught courses in the humanities and writing, and has written and implemented a Humane Letters Curriculum for 6th through 12th grade. His writing and teaching for CiRCE spans subjects such as classroom participation and pedagogy, music and commonplacing, and a variety of Great Books. Jonathan is a passionate and outspoken advocate of Christian Classical education and is committed to a normative and dialectical mode of inquiry. He currently lives in Beaufort, South Carolina with his wife Laura, daughter Claire Elaine, son Harry, and a variety of domestic and semi-domestic creatures.
