Nature displays patterns in a tree’s rings, a beach’s dunes, and a bee’s honeycomb. These patterns embody the nature of each object. These patterns reveal how the tree grew, the winds moved, and the bees lived. People repeat patterns as well, such as exercise routines, family narratives, and dinner rhythms, revealing the nature of those things. Wise people attend to patterns across time and space. Wise people also engage patterns during deliberations.
To cultivate wisdom during this brief session, let us contemplate the patterns and the people in Exodus, Deuteronomy, and Ruth. Who are the people? Where do they live? What patterns repeat? Where is power? What is the significance of these patterns and people both then and today? Join Andrea Lipinski in contemplating patterns and people from the Old Testament.
