Though Lewis never wrote a book explicitly on education, all his works hold rich pedagogical insights from his principle of “enjoyment” (Lewis’s contention that the best way to study or learn something was simply to delight in it) to his comments on “verbicide” (how to teach vocabulary or language in ways that destroy it). In learning the craft of education Lewis has been my own best teacher, and in this session I will share some of the most transformative, elusive, and radical pedagogical principles explained in his scholarly works and embodied in Narnia.
