In this course your student will continue their study of classical rhetoric with the judicial address. Instruction in the fall will begin with review of Level One material. Next, the students will begin their study of the judicial address utilizing new invention, arrangement, and elocution skills.

During this course, the students will not only practice writing, they will practice judging well. Level Two addresses will include explorations of the special topics, justice, evidence, laws, and motive. With each new address, the student will be asked to refine their thinking and their writing.

Students will read, discuss, and write about Shakespeare’s plays while practicing the art of making good judgment.
