The classical history Livy once said of the study of history “you can find for yourself and your country both examples and warnings; fine things to take as models, base things, rotten through and through, to avoid.” To this end, students will study the rise Rome and fall of the Roman Republic through the lives of famous and influential Romans from Romulus to Cicero in Plutarch’s Roman Lives. Key decisions made by these men will be carefully considered using the Lost Tools of Writing Level 2.
