Liana Heitlin of Education Week recently reported, “Nearly every teacher in the U.S. now knows about the Common Core State Standards, and 73 percent of math, English, science, and social studies teachers in states that have adopted them say they are enthusiastic about their implementation, according to a new survey.”

What this graphic does not indicate (though the article does) is that the study was co-funded by Scholastic and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, who also sponsored Common Core. Heitlin was also honest enough to note that “Education Week receives support from the Gates Foundation for coverage of business and innovation topics.” So, the online study was paid for by the folks behind Common Core as is the positive coverage of its results.
The Foundation doth protest too much, methinks.
