One has to take great care when considering the claims of Christian classical education. It guarantees nothing, just as eating a healthy diet guarantees nothing.
Children can read Cicero On Friendship, Aristotle’s Ethics, or CS Lewis’s Screwtape Letters and maintain a barrier around his soul that keeps the truths from entering. Indeed, that is what we do. Truth costs too much.
I don’t turn to Christian classical education because I think it will save the world. Should I turn to it because I want to give the world a chance to be saved?
