Oscar Wilde once famously said that the only way to deal with temptation was to give in. The moralist, whom he was jabbing with this statement, is predictably disturbed by it. On the other hand, what if we think about anxiety instead of, say, lust. Isn’t that precisely what we tend to do with anxiety?
