Few there be that see the world through their own eyes. Most of us, perhaps all of us most of the time, see what we see because somebody else has told us what to see and how to see it. It takes a rare courage to see what actually sits before us, and it takes a lifetime of exercising our own eyes. The trick is to find the right teachers: those who give us eyes to see, not merely opinions to think.
